COUNTDOWN TO COP 26
Companies and organizations across business sectors and regions have now heard the call: To safeguard our climate, every organization must dramatically reduce its carbon footprint. Yes, the world is moving towards a low carbon future. Clean energy, like wind and solar, is now the cheapest source of electricity in most countries; many of the world’s car makers are shifting to make only electric and hybrid models; countries around the world are starting important work to protect and restore nature; cities, states and regions across the world are also committing to reduce emissions to zero.
As we are counting down for the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties ("COP26 Summit"), Energy Innovation Network will host the 2021 Enspire Summit “Envisioning a Carbon-Zero Future” aligned with the 4 goals of the COP26 Summit listed below:
1. Secure global net zero by mid-century and keep 1.5 degrees within reach
2. Adapt to protect communities and natural habitats
3. Mobilise finance
4. Work together to deliver
The 2021 Enspire Summit will be held on the weekends of October through 4 online panel discussion sessions with an audience made up of global industry elites, students, scholars, researchers, and policymakers. Each online session will last 2-3 hours, which will include social breakout discussions and Q&A.
OUR GOAL is to spark insightful discussions between public and private sectors on carbon neutrality and sustainability. Potential speakers will be corporate ESG and sustainability leaders, innovative startup leaders, ESG/ impact investors, policy makers and government representatives from US, China, EU, Africa and more regions.

"HOW CAN CORPORATIONS ACHIEVE ZERO-CARBON BY THE MIDDLE OF THE CENTURY?"
Climate change is not a future threat. Companies are at the very center to solve this challenge. In line with the goal “Secure global net-zero by mid-century and keep 1.5 degrees within reach” from COP26, join us and learn about the sustainability innovation stories from leaders in the technology, utility, and manufacturing sectors in this corporate ESG and net-zero action session. It will be moderated by an expert from Greenpeace East Asia.

WHAT INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS ARE EMERGING TO HELP WITH CLIMATE ADAPTATION AND RESILIENCE?
We are seeing and living with devastating extreme weather more often which is heightened by the changing climate. Future change is inevitable even if we take steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Action is needed to build resilience and restore systems before people lose their lives or livelihoods. Our communities must bond together and support the people who are most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
In the Session 2 of 2021 Enspire Summit COP26 countdown panel hosted by Energy Innovation Network, join us to learn solutions from ecological scientists, innovative start-ups on nature restoration and natural disaster reduction experts and discuss how we unite to adapt to protect communities.

MOBILIZING FINANCE INTO CLIMATE
THE #3 GOAL OF 26TH UN CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE OF THE PARTIES (COP26):
MOBILIZE FINANCE
To deliver on the first two goals of COP26, developed countries must make good on their promise to mobilize at least $100BN in climate finance per year by 2020. International financial institutions must play their part and we need work towards unleashing the trillions in private and public sector finance required to secure global net zero.
In this Enspire COP26 countdown panel hosted by Energy Innovation Network, we gather financiers in the field to share their perspectives on how to mobilize finance to combat climate change.

COLLABORATION
WHAT CAN NATIONS LEARN FROM EACH OTHER FOR BETTER COLLABORATION?
We can only rise to the challenges of the climate crisis by working together. Collaboration between countries, governments, businesses, and sectors is essential to accelerate climate action. This is the concluding session of our summit and aims to highlight the fourth goal of COP26: Work together to deliver. Join us to hear the transition stories from around the world and how they highlight the importance of climate collaboration.
